The New York Times

So I've been featured on the New York Times website and I thought I would make a post linking to it. Its a small bio of me and a couple pictures on things I did for a cover contest back a couple months ago. I ended up getting runner up (after cracking out around 30 different thumbnails) but it was a really sweet experience and there will be more to come. I am determined :]

Another painting i just finished. I knocked it out faster than I thought so i didnt have a chance to take too many ref pictures. Yet another in the series about animals sent to space! Done in watercolor. This, along with my previous one, Strelka will both be on sale in the future. I will also be selling prints SOON. :]

Strelka

I finished another piece last night which only took a couple days. This is one of my few pieces that was done all traditional in acrylic washes (with the exception of the veil). Its based off a running theme i have of animals that were sent into space in the 60's. 9'' x 12'' and it will be on sale sometime in the future. Here are some process shots:

Quick sketch i did recently of the side of a barn. Im extremely allergic to horses so it kept me distracted from my sinuses :]

Some Light Reading

Just came in the mail. VERY excited to see what it has to offer. I am really hoping I can learn some things because, damn, getting illustration work is harder than it seems!
