reverse

This is the reverse side of the album cover. Not 100% the same design that will be printed (there will be more blood and the graphic circle wont be there) but I liked this version :]

I think summer's been letting me produce more consistent work rather to when I'm in school; it's been really refreshing.
Sent out a ton of mailers at the beginning of june and I'm hoping I get some more editorial work coming my way soon. Cross yer fingers!

album cover

ok, so heres the album cover i worked on this week. I am very pleased with the results. I'm currently working on the interior and will post that when im all finished. And then probably repost everything together once it's printed. It's for the NY Metal/Hardcore band 'Construct' who have been awesome, awesome guys to work with. I'll be sure to plug their music in with the posts as the album comes into fruition in August.
Done in graphite on Stonehenge paper, 12" x 12"

Borzaima

Couldn't keep up on the process shots for this image, I had a lot of deadlines to meet that same week so, I only got a couple.
I mixed a Borzoi with an Arapaima. Currently am working on an album cover/interior that Ill be done with by mid July, but in the mean time ill do my best to keep this blog from getting boring :]

preserves

I have come to a point of letting go.
but I'd prefer to hold on.
you went ahead and tossed me into the fire.
but I'm letting you smolder.
even glowing embers are better than nothing. it's the one thing I can control.
I can't let this misery spoil. it's too sweet.
I hope to always keep your preserves.

You will rot.
but our past will stay with me.
at this point in my life it is too hard to find things that aren't already decomposing.
these memories and reminders must be tucked into a cool, dark place.
it's only appropriate.

As promised, here are the process shots for my last piece. Ive gotten a lot of feedback for this one and i want to thank you. Ill be posting another image in a day or so to start the summer off right. Ive been getting a lot of commission work atm so I'm really trying to balance my personal stuff with business. but either way, it'll be pouring out at this rate :]

this was in graphite with an overlay of digital coloring. One of these days ill get around to posting my digital coloring process too if enough people would be interested in seeing it...

keeping things short and sweet

heading home for summer tomorrow. I plan on getting into my next project as soon as I cross the state border :]
