flaunt

I was able to fit in a personal piece between commissions and here it is.
My idea behind it was based around vulnerability. When beauty is created, it always starts out the same; as an irritation caused by something so miniscule. Over time it builds and builds. At some point, shell is tossed away and the soft insides are just devoured whole. Forgotten. But the pearl that was created is flaunted without any regard for the remains of what made it in the first place.

  1. That was the most intricately beautiful description that I have ever read. You never cease to amaze me and, this one piece in particular, takes me to another level entirely. Your work projects the beauty that you harbor inside your bones, and I am privileged to be your friend.

  3. I really like being able to see your process. I like when artists put up pictures of their progress throughout the piece. It definitely helps people learn more seeing the build up to the final piece. Also, it is nice seeing the varying ways that people go about approaching projects and the combination of different methods and techniques. Always like seeing your stuff, thanks!
