So this piece I am posting is pretty important to me. If you have time, please read over the statement i wrote for it. Ive been really pushing my art towards a personal level. In particular, this piece has to do with that sickness feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you get stricken with a low spot in your life. If breakups are good for one thing, it has to be generating creative juices. I'll put up process shots in a later post.

A physical state and a mental state become synonymous when tragedy besets. This image illustrates a living autopsy of literally taking out your insides and displaying them. The mirror is a reflection of everything that effects on our own decisions. One’s state of mind and physical state are directly correlated, so your body becomes physically mutilated when events ravage your mind. Mirrors are all relative to their host in terms of what they see as ‘hurt’. This makes mirrors objects that are solely individual. They are selfish. A relationship can only exist between one individual and their reflection.
Everyone is formed by their own experiences, which in turn, reverberate externally through actions and conscious decisions. The reflection of pain becomes clearest when you feel the physical sickness in your belly. In order to see the problem in its true form, you must carve out your viscera. If not, you can only lament over your mistakes and sorrows, which build up like a cancer. However, the more times you rip out your guts, the more scar tissue is built up. This eventually leads to ruining a natural beauty, by searching for non-existent perfection.
thanks.
